Our preliminary task wasn't up to our standards as our match on action didn't link in very well... the scene jumped from jack walking towards the door and reaching for it, then we see a close up of jacks hand and then he walks through the door. we didn't see jack put his hand on the door handle so it looked very poor. although we did use the 180 rule and used the shot reverse shot well which made our preliminary task a little bit better and more professional.
We used all of the rules within our opening two minutes. we used the 180 rule and match on action with the moped scene so we learnt how to do it from our preliminary task which helped us out allot making our movie better hopefully making our grade better as we are using the rules we were told to use.
We used every single type of shot type within our movie; we used extreme close up on the gun getting reloaded and the hand shake in the action scene, we used closes up through out the interrogation scene such as at the very beginning with the close up of my face, we used medium shots within the interrogation scene and the action scene such as the phone call scene with me and tom. long shots and extreme long-shots were both used within the moped scene leading up to the main location.

Evaluation task 6
The camera we used was a small HD video recorder lent to us from school. we used this camera as the school provided it to us and we knew that it would work on the systems. This Dominic Cowley (Grizzly) and Keiran Hosking operating the camera and tripod in the interrogation scene. This was the first time we used the camera and tripod so we had to work out the tricks and how to work it well by our selves.
We were tempted to use my iPhone as the quality and sound is a little bit better and i know how to work it, also with it being on my phone our film will be with us all the time so if we needed to see it or work on it there would be no worries about finding the camera and bringing it into school. we decided to use the schools camera as we didn't want to risk our whole movie just for better quality viewing as if my phone didn't work on adobe or came out differently to everyone else, our filming would be a waste of time and could set us back allot perhaps jeopardise our AS level.
We used Adobe Pro Elements 10 to edit our footage and make into a proper opening two minutes. we also used it to edit in our music and tweak our movie to make it look more professional such as the titles and adding in pictures such as the paramount logo for our institution.

evaluation task 8
What targets will i set myself for G324 next year?- when will i make a trailer?
next year we may stray from an action film as this year it was difficult to get the right shots and equipment to look like a good action film. We may stray towards a horror as it will be easier to get our point across within the trailer. but thinking about it a trailer for an action film may be easier as we can have shots that don't necessarily link in.
the group might be changed up as some members of our group may be leaving and dropping the subject so i might be joining another group or someone will join our group.
the targets i will set my self is to defiantly aim for an A in my blog as it is achievable if i work hard next year. i would like to aim to make my posts longer and start filming earlier so we can have more time editing and more time for music as our music didn't exactly link in very well.
Evaluation task 4
this is our target audience... We aimed our film at the male teenagers. we know that most of our target audience will like to see many action scenes and fast pace car chases. we tried to relate to the James bond movies by wearing suits and trying to acting like a top secret super skilled agent. we tried to add some sort of a chase scene with my moped. we couldn't make it a proper 'chase' scene as we didn't have anyone chasing me, but we used plenty of shots and edited them to make it seem faster and more professional.
we also tried to add a few action sequences within the opening two minutes to intrigue our audience. we added a rapid punch scene and a big knife held to my throat at the beginning in the interrogation scene. secondly we also have the gun held at agent Sinclair, agent Sinclair punching the enemy and then agent Sinclair getting his head smashed into the bin. Lastly we see agent Sinclair escaping the interrogation and throwing grizzly into the side when the movie ends on a cliff hanger.
our plot also conforms to the average action/thriller genre as i will like to think that we used most of the stereotypes within an action or Thriller. I hope that it will intrigue the male audience aged 12-19 as it will be filled with action and shooting.

evaltuation task 2
As you can see we have a picture of Daniel Craig posing as James Bond and you can see me on the right posing as Agent Sinclair. We are both wearing black and white suits . in almost every spy or action film we see the main character wearing some sort of suit or smart clothing. we decided to go with the stereotype of being in a suit to act more intimidating. although in modern society if we see a group of hooded youths we find that intimidating instead of seeing a group of men in suits. the main reason why we used suits is because we want to look professional it can also relate to having better spy gadgets and better spy super cars which will appeal to the target audience.
we both hold our weapon in a similar way, obviously we use both hands to obtain better accuracy. the stance is also similar this could be also to achieve better accuracy but it also used to give a good posture for certain shots as if Daniel Craig was slouched the shot will look unreal and silly. the more 'badass' you look the better in the film industry but also to look good looking to attract the female audience.
the location of the two pictures are pretty different as he is in a exotic country and im in my back garden. the exotic location will attract more attention as it shows the film has a higher budget and the film will look alot better than a film based in cold windy england.

Evaluation task 1
our production credit is 'JAK Productions' we decided to call this jak productions as my
name is Alex we have a Kieran in our group and a jack in our group we decided
to try and put the first letters of our name in into a short word and we came
up with JAK productions.
We decided to have a white title with a black backround as it stands out well and it acts as a good cliff hanger ending as it shoots to black making it seem dangerous, if the back ground was blue and the title was yellow the production credit will look seriously un-proffesional.
We want our target audience to feel that jak productions is a new productions and to show them that we would be the dark horse in the production companies.

we used this shot in the fast paced scene of the flashback. we used a fair few amount of different shots to make this scene successful and look professional. in this particular shot we i drive past the camera and 'zoom' into shot. i Think this shot is one of the best shots of this scene possibly one of the best shots in the movie. i think this is effecvtive as it shakes the camera a little bit as a drive past making it feel visious and fast.
This shot is a very good shot it shows the profile of both me and tom as it shows the situation i am in. it is also is one of the first shots the audience will see of the 'alliance' being broken. there are a few bad points in this shot. firstly the cars in the back ground look unprofessional as they are not super cars- which are common in spy films. secondly the bags on the floor make the shot and movie look scrappy and once again unprofessional.
we chose paramount pictures as our opening production as they are known for filming films like ours such as james bond. the production credit also looks very professional and makes our movie look better towards the audience. the 100 years under the paramount makes the instatution look very successfull as the company has been running for over 100 years which looks good for the audience as their films will be good quality as it has survived so long in the film industary.
This scene here is our final shot of the movie, this is where it goes back to the the interrogation scene and we leave the opening two minutes on a cliff hanger. this is a good shot as we see agent sinclair in a vunerable situation and is about to get interogated again. the shot of me throwing dom (grizzly) into the rubbish is a good cliff hanger as it shows the auduence is break free and they will want to see how i got out.
This is one of the three shots showing our main characters (tom cunningham) we used the black bold title to make it stand out. as cunningham is a big actor in the film industary and we want the audience to know hes in the film and create a positive vibe about the film before they've seen the opening two minutes. this shot has cunningahm in the far left of the shot so we can show the location of the scene, the cars in the back ground make the shot seem unprofessional.
this is a close up of the gun prop we used. we used my dads BB gun as it look very life like and beleavible. we use this close up to show the aduience that there is danger or an action scene coming due to jack checking the gun for ammonation and reloading it. this shot could of been made better if jack took off his cotton gloves as if jack is a classic 'hard man' villian they wouldnt be wearing basic woolen gloves.
this is the opening shot of the opening two minutes we used the basic bold titles to like before show the audience the main actor within the film and get the intruiged and hooked onto the film. the shot starts with my face down and we see the location i am in. the location looks stingey and hostile due to the sander in the back which looks dangerous and could be used for tourture. we see the phone in the right hand side which is used to wake me up and intoduce the audience into the situation agent Sinclair is in.
Lasty is a shot of a knife being put up to my throat. This shows the audience that i am in obvious danger and it will be a hard time for agent sinclair to get out of the sitiuation. the tence scene and the big knife getting put up to my throat will excite the audience and make them want to watch it more to see what happens
