Now You See Me Official Opening Scene (2013) - Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Free...

this movie is by summit entertainment, the story line of the movie is about Four magicians each answer a mysterious summons to an obscure address with secrets inside. A year later, they are the Four Horsemen, big time stage illusionists who climax their sold out Las Vegas show with a bank apparently robbed for real. This puts agents Dylan Rhodes of the FBI and Alma Dray of Interpol on the case to find out how they did it. However, this mystery proves difficult to solve even with the insights of the professional illusion exposer, Thaddeus Bradley. What follows is a bizarre investigation where nothing is what it seems with illusions, dark secrets and hidden agendas galore as all involved are reminded of a great truth in this puzzle: the closer you look, the less you see.  the main acters in the film are; Jesse Eisenberg as Daniel atlas, Mark Ruffalo as Dylan Rhodes, Woody Harrelson as Merrit Mckinny, Isla Fisher as Henley Reeves and lastly Dave franco as Jack Wilder.

the movie starts off with the main character with close up of his face. this gives the audience a goof look at who he is and his facial expressions. he looks into the camera so he interacts with the audience making them  feel that he is actually talking to him and they feel that he is showing them the magic trick. we see an over shoulder shot to see the whole audience so we learn that he is a popular/famous magician. we see him wearing all black which also stereotypes a sly character which could co relate to a magician. the close up of the deck puts the audience into the magic trick. the trick does work on the audience as it worked on me, this will get the audience more into the movie and want to know how he did it. The shot of the building makes the magic trick feel extremely big which bigs up the film and gives it a good start.

our second character scene is of Woody Harrelson. the scene starts of with an extreme close up of eyes this could relate to his 'mind tricks' that he can do on people. Similar to the first scene we see him mid point doing his special trick.  We have a preview of him doing his tricks showing the audience what he does. we the see the location is some sort of tropical location. this could mean that he isnt as experienced as the first magician as he is doing holiday stands and the other is doing shows in the city. we also see he is wear a suede hat which is also indicates some sort of holiday destination.  We see a sequence of extreme close ups of the mans face when Merrit hypnotises him. they use face pace editing on the face to show the audiance that he is confused and sweaty. we learn that Woodys character is a mischievous character has he uses his talents to obtain money.

The destinations change for every character. this character is very similar to the first as he has a small audience and is showing them a basic magic trick. yet again the trick makes the audience seem to be actual being shown the trick and they feel intrigued in how he did it. he his trick is blown which makes the audience think that hes a phoney and a rubbish magician but as we see he changes the audiences opinions as he is very clever and sly like the other magicians. this magician is similar to Merrit as he uses his talents to get money and scam people. He is also wearing very casual clothes to blend in with the audience and the scenery.

lastly we see an attractive woman which will please the male audience as so far it has been all male actors. The clothes getting ripped off is a sexual appeal to please the male audience and make them want to see more of her, exposing her body also makes her more girly and vulnerable so people may think that she wont do it. in the tank we see that she gets  stuck and crys for help, like the stereotype male figures try and help her. The tank fills the piranhas they use long shots to capture the fish in the tank and the audience. the clip carrys on and the tank fills turns to the colour red. she appears in the crowd wet with the chains off and no cuts and bruises. this magician appears to be the biggest as she is performing an actual show and not on the streets which reverts the stereotype as male figures are normally the dominant gender. the costume she is wearing makes her stand out and makes her look the part. she dresses like an assistant not a magician as she is is a sparkly dress not all in black.

the music in the opening changes with each character, they have dramatic casino like music for the first magician. the second magician doesn't have any non-diagetic sound, its all diagetic of the rain falling and the clattering of the restaurant. The third magicians music has up beat classical music relating to the sunny city he is in, the jazz music also relates to entertainment and showmanship, we have non-diagetic sound of the boats horn and the splashing of the waves. lastly the sound in the last show  there is alot of non-diagetic soind from the crowd, we still hear the quiet casino music to still suggest it is the show the music gets louder and faster as she gets stuck this adds the affect of suspense and action to put the audience on the edge of their seat

The director has purposely done a character interview at the beginning to show off who is in the film and what the magicians do. it also gets the viewers excited form what's to come yet as they receive a taster of each magic trick and will feel intrigued to see what else they have up their sleeve

After Earth Official Trailer #1 (2013) - Will Smith Movie HD

This is the trailer of after earth. the film was produced in 2013 by Columbia pictures. the producers have chosen to give the film a mixture of genres so it can appeal to different age groups and genders. the genres of this film are; action adventure and sci-fi. this will appeal to mainly the male audience age ranging between 12-30s as male audiences like to see action movies mixed with scifi and adventure. The movie is about A crash landing leaving Kitai Raige and his father Cypher stranded on Earth, a millennium after events forced humanity's escape. With Cypher injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help. The trailer opens with the two main characters kitai raige (Jaden smith) and Cypher raige (will smith) straight away we see the two big actors that shows the audience that the acting in this movie would be good, also people may known that will smith is jadens dad so the audience may make an extra effort to see them in action. We see then two characters in a very vulnerable state as they are both having to wear breathing apparatus which shows they are weak and are in a bad situation. we hear the deep and heavy breathing which could suggest they just escaped a dangerous time within the movie. we see they are based in some sort of space ship or building that looks very modern which relates to the sci-fi genre as it could be in the future.

from the calm breathing from both characters to loud wind blowing which kicks off the action genre of the trailer. The editing of the scene when cypher raige gets sucked out to space and when we see the full extreme long shot of the ship starts to become very quick and face pace editing. This action sequence gives the audience the knowledge of how they arrived on earth but keep them thinking about what made the ship crash and what will they do to escape earth. we see the location is space and they are approaching earth as it is an iconic planet that people will recognize.

We first see the costume when Kitai is on earth looking dazed and confused. the costume looks very future like and protective we also see a tool used by cypher which is very future like as it is scanning his leg and everyone can see inside. this could intrigue the audience in to knowing what is wrong with his leg and how did it happen.

we get to see the animals from earth and it shows the audience how dangerous the situation they are in and it relates to the animals that they know. the scenery looks alot like earth but less over run by city's and roads which explains that it has been a long time since humans populated it.

the sound used within the trailer makes the whole trailer feel dramatic and dangerous, the deep toned drums beat when the black fading switches between shots and scenes pieces together the shots well.

the lighting changes throughout the trailer. it becomes dark and with the shadoes from the canopy but it is main light so the scenery and vast amount of land can be shown clearly to the audience and make them see how vast earth is now and how it is over grown. the certain shots they use in different scenarios such as when we see Kitai doing the sky dive and in the cave we have long over shoulder shots so we can see what he is seeing but also seeing the scenery all around him, if their is other stuff around such as the monkeys chasing him they used fast pace medium and long shots to show the monkeys chasing him and the amount of obstacles in his way and the amount of monkeys chasing him. we see a few of close up shots to see the expressions on their faces so the audience can learn what they are thinking or feeling without speech.
