Harry Potter and The Order Of The Phoenix (2007) Official Opening Scene ...
this is the opening scene to harry potter the order of the peonix. the scene starts with iconic music that almost everyone will recognise. the title scene is very dark and gloomy which could suggest evil will be a big part of this movie as dark gloomy smoke surrounding the title will suggest this.
the first shot of the movie is a extreme long shot over looking the location of the movie, it cuts to a birdseye veiw shot to show the specific location of the scene.
the lighting in the opening scene is very night and a lady speaking over the top saying itnis one of the hottest days of the year. this may make the audience think that this may be a good start to the movie as the sun is out itis very hot and you can hear children playing in the back ground.
at 1.03 there is a low angle shot in the grass they use this to show the peacfulness of the area and gets you closer to nature as you are in the grass watching children play.
they use sad music when in a playground and make it seem quite dull and a sad place to be. they choose a mixture of mid shots and two person shots to make them seem in charge, they use two person shots on the group of bullys to show they are in power. harry potter is sitting down on the swing making him see vunrable and weak.
when harry potter reacts to the abuse from the bullys the lightinh becomes dark and gloomy and a strong wind appears form no where. this suggests that evil could be coming or something is about to happen. this gets the audience exitec and on the edge of their seats as it is the first scene in the movie and it is the start of the drama in the movie.
the mis en sen in the scene is very casual costume. mostly t-shirts and jeans. this makes the characters seem less theatening and dangerious esspiaclly when the death eaters arrive.
when running they use over shoulder shots and move the camera with the runniong movements, this put the audience in the characters situation and gets them more involved with the action scene
